Leandra Franich of PaperArtsy discusses the importance of attending Creativation as a creative industry professional and the benefits of attending PaperArtsy's unique workshop session.
Why should industry professionals attend Creativation?
Getting your focus for the year ahead is one of many benefits to attending Creativation. Identifying trends and colour direction, meeting a new supplier, maybe even one from outside the USA, or talking face to face with a company to find out how you can get their in-store support for classes and demos. These are all things that will help you figure out with which brands you could invest your time and money in 2020 to meet your customers in-store expectations. Getting inspired and developing a sure-footed focus will be a really positive way to kick off 2020 in your store. If you miss out on the education programme before the show floor opens, don't forget there are Make and Takes on booths too. We are running them every day at PaperArtsy, so you can take a mini class on the stand with one of our 6 designers with us at the show!
What are you most looking forward to at Creativation?
We have 6 designers with us at Creativation. They are all teaching two classes (90 mins or 2hr 30 duration) in the core education programme which allows for a wonderful immersion experience. Stores have the chance, to not only be hands-on with their newest products, but to ask questions face to face, to learn new innovative tips and techniques direct from the source or maybe even to book an in-store class. This try-before-you-buy opportunity can be a real game changer for our stockists. Getting feedback from stores, sharing superb ideas with brand new, unseen SKU's and watching our designers impart successful teaching techniques with their own brand is hands down, the most exciting part of the show for us all. Why not find out in our Designer Duo classes on Thursday 16th Jan (W102 - 11am, W108 - 3pm). In these 2 taster sessions you can learn from 2 designers for the one, 3 hour class price. That's double the take-home kit, double designer and double the ideas!
What is one benefit of attending your workshop?
Not only will you leave class with finished, beautiful class sample where you have learned quite a few new things (guaranteed), and a product package to take home, but you will really understand how you can fit this new line or designer in your store and share the essence of a designer's products to your customers successfully. You will leave not only with a project you can teach in your store, but also armed with some new techniques that you could adapt to demos, make and takes or use to make content for your own tutors, social media feeds and more. At PaperArtsy, we really work hard to equip you with the ideas and information you need to achieve success in the year ahead with our brand. You want to sell product so you can make a profit, right? Then that is what we share with you, how to do that well, not just for one class, but a strategy for the year ahead with one or more of our designers.
